Miss Me?

It's been a while since my last post *sad face*...
Came down with a bug that took over my energy levels, eyes and hearing.
Still can't hear much in my right ear.

Feeling slightly better. My conjunctivitis has nearly gone. (Ewww!)

However, I should hopefully be able to start posting properly soon!
Had Phil's birthday, ghost hunt, and this weekend, our housewarming/engagement party!

Posts on the way... keep a look out!

Home #1

I will apologise for the disarray of how the photos are displayed... Still getting the hang of things.

Was a good several days spent. Was able to bond with the nephews again, saw my Nana & Grandad (-two of my most favourite people!), went bowling with Phil and the bestie; and had a walk in the park where Phil proposed to me <3
I was also able to eat lunch by my Dads memorial plaque (as seen above). Such a lovely day it was!

What's your favourite thing about "home"?

What's a Girl to Wear?!

OK, well I've been feeling a bit down lately. Dyed my hair red with one of them foam dyes... Can safely say it ended up badly! Dyed it black today. I left it too late to sort out properly. And it still didn't end up right. Will have to ask my sister, who happens to be a trained hairdresser, to help correct it. Especially as I have my youngest nephews christening this weekend...
Going back "home" tomorrow, so I can catch up with friends and family.
And as many girls know, it's a nightmare trying to plan on what to wear. I've got 4 days and nights to think about. One of which will consist of the christening outfit.

This is what I'm planning on wearing on the Sunday...

What do you think?

I have also packed a black and white polka dress, originally from Evans, bought on eBay. Will decide on Sunday.

There's also plans to catch up with one of my best friends/my maid of honour for next year <3 Looking forward to that, major love for that woman!

Here are some of the options to wear this week:

This sequinned blazer was such a bargain! Was meant to be £21 in Primark, got to the till and it was £10! Nearly did a dance in front of the till haha.
The red dress was bought for a friends Christmas do that never happened, but it's become a favourite to wear. So comfy and warm. Again, half price from New Look at £13.
This girl certainly loves her bargains!
Bought this a couple of years ago as a treat to myself and was just starting to explore the girly side of me. Makes me want to spin around and giggle with glee... Have you got a piece of clothing that makes you feel great?

Opinions?

Black tights will also be added to the bag. Was treated to some new jeans today. High waisted "skinnies". Looking forward to wearing them!

Was told by my sister that her eldest boy is excited that Aunt "Law" is coming up *super grin*, been a very long time since I've been able to spend much time with them. It's one of the downsides of moving 150 miles away. Thank God for Facebook!

The sun was shining today for the first time in ages. Felt so lovely! Spring is usually my favourite time of year, but with the snow this year, I've not been able to enjoy it.
Hopefully the temperature will also catch up soon.

Did you have any sunshine where you are?

A Thrifty Wedding #2

As you may have read in a previous post, I am planning my wedding for next year.
Plans are also to be as thrifty as possible to try and save some money and still make it a wonderful and special moment. We only have a small amount of people coming so it's very intimate.

I am still at the stage of 'Save the Date' cards.

Been having a look around to see whether there is any free downloads to give me some inspiration for everything.
I may not have found much yet but I have, however, found some labels for the favours. Fantastic!

Here are some sites that I came across while hunting.

I can't actually remember how I came across this, but I'm so glad I did! A website that is just all about DIY weddings. You will have to read through all the posts to see if anything catches your eye. You can find tutorials, freebies & downloads, inspiration. I know it's certainly helped me! Found a wreath tutorial on there that I think looks terrific. Just need to ask Phil on his opinion.

This is full of different things to try! As you can see from the logo, it's not just crafts. There's some recipes for Peach Butter, Sugar Free Vanilla Pod Ice Cream, Sugar Free Hot Fudge sauce. It's not all sweet foods either, there's some savoury too!

I found a lovely gift box on here... it is meant for Father's Day but with a bit of editing, they could be used to give gifts to the ushers and best man.

I love the look of this website!! Haven't had a proper look at it yet, but I certainly plan on doing so!
On the DIY & Freebies tab, you can find tags, invitations, coffee cup wrappers and so much more! Found the labels on here for the favours. Just need to decide on what we are actually going to have made!

We're off to meet the church events co-ordinator today. Exciting stuff, woohoo! And taking pictures of the church! Finally!!! Not sure when we're going to the reception venue to take photos. As always, an update will be on the way!

Hope you're all having a good Easter Monday
